Name-Based Floyd County Case Searches
Floyd WebCaseManagement splits its interface into civil and criminal searches. Civil search asks for a Party Name. Criminal search uses Name and also offers an Alias field. Enter at least one criterion. The portal validation requires three or more characters per text term. It also bars the percent sign.
- Open the Floyd public docket landing page and choose Civil Search or Criminal Search.
- Enter the known name in the matching field. Use an alias only when it is part of the known case information.
- Select the narrowest court or case category supported by the notice or filing.
- Add filed-date limits when they help distinguish common-name results.
- Review the result list, confirm the court and case number, then use the plus sign to expand the docket.
A name hit on a Floyd County docket search is only a lead, not proof that you found the right person. Check the caption, the court, the case type, the filed date, and any case number you already know before you trust the match.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Party Name or Name | Text | One criterion required | Entered text needs at least three characters. |
| Alias | Text | No | Available on the criminal form. |
| Filed From / To | Date | No | Filters by filing-date range. |
| Category | Checkbox | Available | Choose Superior, State, Domestic, or another listed scope. |
Floyd County Docket Search Routes
The local start page offers New Search, Civil Search, and Criminal Search. It also has an attorney or official login and a credits panel. For Floyd Superior civil and criminal docket entries, it is the most direct public surface. Just know that the public index does not guarantee every document image is free or open. Category choice affects what comes back. The civil form offers All, Superior Civil, State Civil, Domestic, Child Support, and Habeas Corpus. The criminal form offers All, Superior Court, and State Court. A category label is not a named clerk, though. Confirm the responsible office before relying on it. Clicking the portal's plus sign expands a matching case to show its docket. That helps with reading event history. An index entry is still not a certified copy of a pleading, order, or judgment.
Floyd County Case Number Searches
A known case number is usually the cleanest key for a Floyd County case search. Both civil and criminal forms include a Case # field. Type the identifier exactly as it appears on the court notice or filing. There is no single safe universal Floyd format. Never replace the real value with an invented pattern. Use the court-assigned case number with its punctuation and leading digits intact. When a search fails, check your form choice. Confirm you picked the right civil or criminal form and court category. The matter might sit in Magistrate, Probate, Juvenile, municipal, or federal court instead. A city citation and a Superior felony do not share one search route. Case numbers beat names because they point to one court-assigned file. Even so, a migrated or older record may carry a legacy format. If a notice and the online index disagree, the clerk can confirm which identifier is right.
Why a Floyd County Search Fails
The local search script rejects blank searches and short text. Other failures come from the wrong case class, a date range that is too narrow, or a matter held in another court system. Restricted or sealed information may not appear through ordinary public access at all.
Check the route first. A Floyd County no-result screen may reflect the wrong form, category, spelling, date scope, or custodian rather than the absence of a case.
Drop any unneeded date filter. Confirm at least three text characters, and switch only to a category the source document supports. Then call or visit the clerk. Mary Hardin Thornton, Clerk of Floyd Superior Court, sits at 3 Government Plaza, Suite 101, Rome. Reach her at 706-291-5190. Mail goes to PO Box 1110, Rome, GA 30162.
Floyd County Case Search Results Explained
The portal hides its full schema until you expand a result. Read the header before the event list. Keep a filed event separate from a scheduled hearing. Keep a motion separate from the order that rules on it. A docket entry may summarize an action without displaying the underlying image.
| Case Number | The court-assigned identifier used to distinguish the case. |
|---|---|
| Style or Parties | The caption or named participants; a name match alone is not identity proof. |
| Case Type | The civil, criminal, domestic, child-support, habeas, or other listed category. |
| Filed Date | The date used for filing-range filters, not necessarily a hearing date. |
| Status | A portal status that should be read with the latest docket entries and orders. |
| Docket Entries | Dated filings, settings, orders, judgments, or clerk actions shown after expansion. |
Do not read a closed-looking status without the entries and any appeal. For the exact language of an order or judgment, request the file. A certified copy from the clerk settles it.
Floyd County Public and Account Layers
Floyd County access has several layers. The local public interface exposes search fields and an expandable docket. It also carries attorney or official login and credits areas. Georgia Courts maintains an E-Access directory. But it redirects Floyd Superior searches to Tyler ResearchGA and states that an account is required. That provider layer is distinct from the local public index. The official Tyler ResearchGA route is the account-gated portal itself. Subscribers search court records there after signing in.

Provider access does not make every record or image public. Keep that layer separate from the local index. E-filing through Odyssey eFileGA or Peach Court is also just a filing channel, not proof of free online document access.
Two Ways to Search: Floyd County and State
Georgia has no single unified, unrestricted statewide public case-search portal. The E-Access Court Records page works as a directory to participating providers instead. For a known Superior civil or criminal matter, Floyd County's local interface is the better first stop.
| Georgia E-Access Route | Floyd County Public Index |
|---|---|
| Directory that routes to a provider | County-specific civil and criminal forms |
| Account required at the listed provider | Visible public search fields |
| Useful for finding the assigned service | Useful for a known local case |
| Not one statewide open docket | Plus sign expands a local docket result |
Use the clerk when either route leaves a gap. The search index locates the case. The clerk supplies the filed record. Put any hearing date in context on the Floyd County court schedule.
Floyd County Probate Search Modules
Probate cases run through Georgia Probate Records, not the Superior Court civil or criminal form. The service splits its coverage into modules: estates, marriages, traffic, wills, guardianships, hearings, miscellaneous filings, weapons licenses, and court information. Each one asks for different fields and returns different results.
For estates, the Probate estate search lets you pick the county, then search by the deceased person's name, date of death, or filing date. That official page also displays its own Floyd County results layout.

The court information selector includes Floyd County.

Each of these screens is a separate Probate route. Treat none of them as a full Floyd Superior docket, and do not merge them with the civil form.
Floyd County Probate Hearing Limits
The Probate hearings form offers controls for Court, Case Name, Date/Time, Probate Hearings, and the Traffic Calendar. One problem: Floyd County does not appear in the court dropdown. Because of that gap, this module cannot be counted on as a working Floyd hearing search.
The Probate hearings form itself shows which courts the selector includes.

When the court selector skips Floyd, call Floyd Probate Court at 706-291-5136, or its clerk at 706-291-5138. A portal tile can sit on the site even while the county choice you need stays turned off.
Note: Payment systems for Probate traffic or city citations are transaction routes, not complete docket searches.
Which Floyd County Cases Stay Restricted
Georgia Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 starts from open access. But it permits limits set by law or court procedure. After the required findings, a court can restrict access to a case. Protected identifiers may be redacted from filings. A missing image or result does not prove a case was erased or never filed.
Juvenile information is confidential or restricted. Georgia's JDEX system is not a public name-search portal. So questions about juvenile access go to Floyd County Juvenile Court. Sealed cases, protected domestic material, and records under a specific order can also sit outside ordinary search results.
Use the Floyd County docket to follow public event history. For a document or lawful access instruction, ask the right clerk. Never test a vendor by entering sensitive identifiers. Track a case. Confirm a hearing. Understand a filing, or follow a matter of public interest.
